EuroUSC™ is authorised by the UK CAA (DAI/9932/09) to assess the ‘Airworthiness’ of Light Unmanned Aircraft Systems of 150Kg and below. The Light UAS Scheme™ (LUASS™) covers the Design, Construction (including functionality of embedded FCS software), Airworthiness, Operation, Pilot/Crew Qualifications and Exemption or Permission to operate. In 2004 EuroUSC™ obtained the first approval in the UK for a light UAS to operate from a Civil Airport.

UV Europe 2009. 22/23 July 2009 - Shephard's UAS Conference and Exhibition, now in its 17th year, was well attended. Guest Speakers highlighted the continued rapid growth of UAS together with the latest advances in military and civil applications. EuroUSC evaluate CoRTS™ It is intended that this runtime compliance system, for use in autonomous UAS, will form an essential part of 'flight control system' assessment.
